My first GOOD Limerick (???)

There once was a man named Dvorak.
For inventing, he had quite a knack.
He designed a keyboard
That was largely ignored,
But now it is making a comeback!

Me

There once was a boy from Seattle
Who often would banter and prattle.
Most of all he would say,
"Draw comics every day!"
And he met each panel in battle.

Weezer

There is a great band known as Weezer.
Their sound is a well-known crowd-pleaser.
With Rivers the bard
Rocking so damn hard,
I'll listen till I'm an old geezer!

My first (somewhat) dirty limerick

I don't know if anyone is actually reading these, but if you ARE, I hope you are not too easily offended. There is a long history of dirty limericks and some believe it's not actually a "real" limerick unless it's a little lewd. In my defense, I was a little riled up when I wrote this one, because I found out the only person I have around to bounce my limerick ideas off of, is a total limerick hater! My roommate Gabe... and his father is even a poet! Tomorrow I'll return to some tamer stuff...

Gabe says that my meter is wrong.
My limerick lines all are too long.
As loudly he sighs,
He rolls up his eyes.
Well, Gabe can go suck a fat dong!

My Method

I write all my limericks at meal time.
I chew while I think of the next rhyme.
While I eat my food,
It lightens my mood
And it doesn't cost me a red dime.
